Architectural office STVAR | A new parking garage and a regulation of urban space is planned in the city centre. ''Park Zvezda'' and ''Kongresni trg'' square are of symbolic significance for Slovenians and must remain as such even after the new construction of a public underground parking garage. Basic guideline for the design was a desire to extract and keep the original qualities of the space. Arch. Plečnik's Congress Square with its affiliated facilities such as Piazzetta with the archaeological remains, urban axis of Trnovo to the Southern market, hall of the University building and a clear design of Park Zvezda. A special challenge represents a placement of entrance end exit of the underground parking garage.
